Kinda' Creepy, No?

Well, I'm not sure if it is creepy or not, but in the "fair and balanced" tradition of this weblog, I will report, and you can decide.

There's a new virtual beauty contest about to begin, and I mean that quite literally -- it is a contest for virtual beauties. In fact, at the end of it, the winner will take home the title of Miss Digital World.

I know most people don't really ever have a chance to date a supermodel, but, boy, you REALLY don't have a chance with these gals.

See, Like This One ...

Hey, one of those "quickies" I promised in the previous entry!

Sometimes, while doing Internet searches, you just come across damn funny stuff. In this case, it happened to be from the writing staff at Late Night with Conan O'Brien, so I wasn't surprised to laugh out loud while sitting here at my computer. Enjoy this selection of Michael Caine Secrets, and you'll probably find yourself clicking and reading all the other ones on the site, too, just like I did.

The Perfect Attitude About Writing

Not sure how you feel about Mitch Hedberg, but I think he's pretty okay for one of today's new "anti-comedy" stand-up comedians.

Here's Mitch on writing:

I wrote a script for a guy, and he said he liked it but he thought that I need to rewrite it. I said, "Fuck that, I'll just make a copy."

Well, I laughed. There's more ... and probably funnier ... stuff at this Mitch Hedberg fan page. Mitch is touring with Dave Attell and Lewis Black on the Comedy Central Live tour. Dave and Lewis are hilarious, and deserve the spotlight, but it looks like Hedberg has been excluded from the Comedy Central website. (He was featured in a preview write-up in the L.A. Times, though, so I'm guessing he's at least on a few tour dates, including tonight's in Los Angeles.)

Speaking of writing, it really is a good thing that I haven't been updating this site recently. That means I've got writing work out the wazoo, as they say, and I'm trying my best to get all the paid stuff in before I spend too much time on the site. Sorry! I'll try to get some more "quick hits" like this one posted, as time allows.
