Left Hand, This is Right Hand

So, in this modern age of corporate synergy and massive media mergers, it’s good to see the left hand sometimes still has no idea what the right hand is doing.

Maybe you saw the story about the PETA protest at the taping of last night’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion show.

Maybe you saw AOL/Time Warner CNN do a follow-up with targeted model Gisele Bundchen.

Maybe you saw Gisele tell AOL Time/Warner CNN "I'm the biggest animal lover in the world. I was just doing my job. I'm a model. I don't even wear fur."

And, maybe you saw this week’s edition of AOL Time/Warner People Magazine, which features a photo spread of Gisele wearing fur.

But apparently, nobody at AOL Time/Warner CNN did. (It should be noted that Mrs. Chelios did, and brought this perfect blend of hypocrisy and media mismanagement to my attention.)

By the way, the more I think about it, the more I like referring to properties in the AOL Time/Warner family of companies with that prefix: AOL Time/Warner The WB, AOL Time/Warner Sports Illustrated, AOL Time/Warner Entertainment Weekly, AOL Time/Warner CNN/FN, etc.

Now, excuse me. I’ve got to go get in line for AOL Time/Warner Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.

Weather Report

Well, we're having the first big rainstorm of the season here in Los Angeles. And you know what that means: Today, Winona Ryder went out and shoplifted a new umbrella.

All Things Disney

There are those who aspire to know all things Disney and Disney-related. And a fantastic place to begin that quest for insider, behind the scenes knowledge is at the fairly-new JimHillMedia.com. Jim's been dishing out the dirt on what really goes on at the Mouse House for quite some time, on various webpages scattered across the 'net. Jim's latest venture -- his own site -- is highly recommended.
