A Very Funny Commercial
One of the many downsides to the cancellation of the hockey season has been the loss of quality time with my good friend, the beloved "Mrs. Chelios". Sadly, the hockey wife and I have endured a season of hockey separation, which I haven't enjoyed at all.
On the other hand, I do enjoy one of the TV shows Mrs. Chelios' works on -- one of NBC's "Outrageous Moments" shows. And last night, they showed an ad that made me laugh out loud. It's for the Suburban Auto Group -- and the product is called the Trunk Monkey. (If you have problems downloading the spots from that site, you can also find them here.)
I don't know if it shows up real well in the compressed streaming video version, but in the ad which starts with a guy smashing a window to break in to a car, the Trunk Monkey is reading a book about winning at casino gambling. That's when I knew this ad was something special.
