Supercharge Your Kitten

"Supercharge Your Kitten"
--Magazine Headline from Cats U.S.A.

Is this really a good idea?  I mean, the concept is cute, sure.  But the practicality of it is another matter entirely.

First, what if kitty doesn’t want to be supercharged?

Admittedly, the whole “supercharging” process, as it relates to cats, is a little unclear.  Would this be a hardware or software upgrade, so to speak?  And if it’s the former, what parts does one use for such a process?

I mean, kitties are pretty sweet as they are, but you’ve never seen a cat until you’ve seen one retrofitted with 9-1/4" lug rotors; bearings and seals; springs; stock reconditioned spindles; rebuilt Mustang II calipers with brackets and pads; manual rack and pinion with tie rod ends and bushings; rubber spring cushions; a spindle nut kit; and all mounting hardware.  Now that, my friends, is a supercharged cat!  I'd like to see that baby come zooming down the straightaway at Talladega.

But no, a supercharged kitten is probably just one that’s extra frisky, extra friendly, and very, very, very un-cat-like.  And to take away or modify its core felinity seems an awful thing to do to such an animal.  Cats are, well, cat-like, for a reason.  Must we change and tweak every last detail of our existence so that now, we expect even our simple house kittens to live up to some standard of "supercharged-ness" that no kitten should be asked to attain?   I think not, my friends, which is why I urge you to think twice about supercharging your kitten.

And besides, getting that cam shaft to stay on is a real bitch.
